COS secured a state‑based whole‑of‑government supply contract to support all departments and agencies with ergonomic furniture solutions. Working closely with Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) and OH&S teams, COS delivered everything from individual task chairs to full collaborative workspace setups. Their long‑term partnership has positioned COS as a trusted provider of quality ergonomic products across the public sector, consistently meeting requirements and adapting solutions to suit diverse employee needs.
To address the government’s need for a standardised, fit‑for‑purpose task chair, COS partnered with a local Australian manufacturer to design the COS Heath Pro, named after Victoria’s state flower. Through detailed sampling and testing, the chair was refined and ultimately approved by HSW and OH&S teams as the primary task‑chair choice for most staff. The Heath Pro supports a wide range of body types and work settings, from single‑chair replacements to complete workplace refurbishments. Seven years into the contract, COS continues to supply these chairs rapidly through nationwide distribution centres, maintaining high quality and reliability—even during the pandemic, when COS was classified as an essential service supplier.
As a family‑owned Australian business, COS emphasises supporting local manufacturing, sustainability and community employment while delivering ergonomic solutions that promote staff wellbeing. Since first partnering with departments in 2015, COS has built trust through consistent supply, reliable project support, and alignment with social procurement frameworks. During the pandemic, they met complex distribution challenges and provided solutions for flexible and hybrid working arrangements, reinforcing their role as a dependable partner for government workplaces.
