JLL and Electrolux Brisbane Office Fitout Case Stufy

Want to know what we can do for your business space?

SNAPSHOT

COS was selected by JLL to supply furniture for the new Electrolux Brisbane site, a full office fitout spanning two newly constructed buildings. The project included a dock office and a main office, each designed across two levels to support a modern, flexible workplace. While the fitout itself was relatively standard in scope, the scale of the site and the need to balance functionality, aesthetics and budget made the project something perfect to showcase COS capabilities.

THE SITUATION

JLL engaged several suppliers through a competitive Request for Quote process to furnish the new buildings. The brief required furniture solutions that were practical, visually consistent with the new environment and cost effective, while also supporting a predominantly open plan layout. In addition to open work areas, the site included boardrooms, meeting rooms, offices, amenities and lunch spaces, each with different functional and ergonomic requirements.

COS was selected based on the quality of the proposed product selection that demonstrated a clear understanding of how the space would be used day to day. The proposal balanced durability and design, while remaining within budget parameters, and reflected a strong grasp of the project requirements throughout the RFQ process.

THE SOLUTION

COS worked closely with JLL to ensure both their requirements and those of Electrolux were consistently met from planning through to delivery. Collaboration was central to the project, with ongoing coordination to align furniture selections with layout, timelines and site-specific needs.

A comprehensive range of furniture was supplied across the two buildings. Seating solutions included Humanscale task chairs, along with seating for boardrooms, meeting rooms, training areas, kitchens and outdoor spaces, supported by stools for kitchen benches. Height adjustable workstations were installed throughout the open plan areas, complemented by carbon neutral acoustic screens, soft wiring solutions and monitor arms to support ergonomics and flexibility.

Storage and ancillary solutions were tailored to the site, including custom wave door lockers, DDA accessible lockers, mobile pedestals, caddies, tambour door cupboards, hinged door credenzas and pigeonhole units. Custom planter cupboards with push to close doors were also supplied to integrate storage with the overall aesthetic.

Table solutions ranged from standard meeting, folding, kitchen and outdoor tables through to custom meeting tables with blade style legs on castors. A standout feature was the custom 8400mm long compact laminate boardroom table, designed with built in flush power boxes and matching HPL lids. As an additional requirement, COS also supplied bolt down outdoor bench seating for the designated smoking area.

THE SUCCESS

The project was delivered on time and on budget, providing Electrolux with ergonomic, functional furniture that supported the needs of the new workplace. Despite delays in finalising documentation and the purchase order being issued less than a week before Christmas, COS worked within tight timelines that coincided with supplier shutdowns and staff leave periods.

Through careful coordination and clear communication, the challenges were managed successfully, and JLL was satisfied with the quality of the furniture supplied and the level of service provided throughout the project.

“The service we received from COS was fantastic.

From early discussions, Carlie was dedicated to providing the best outcome for our client (Electrolux) inline with all their operational needs while also offering a very competitive price. From engagement through to handover, the process was seamless for us as Carlie managed everything directly and keep us in the loop or touch based when needed.

Electrolux are very satisfied with the quality they have received and their experience with COS’s aftercare has only been positive. This has been a big factor in our clients satisfaction with their new office space.”

Rob Kelly, JLL

“COS were fantastic to deal with in all aspects of the furniture supply assembly and after install.

The delivery staff that we had on site were very professional and nothing was too difficult for them (they really knew their stuff) and just great guys as well, a credit to their business.

We had a couple of warranty issues as well that were dealt with promptly and efficiently.

I haven’t got anything negative to say other than A GREAT EXPERIENCE.”

Bret Morgan, ELX
