Queensland Government Fitout Case Study

Want to know what we can do for your business space?

A Queensland Government department needed height adjustable workstations, seating, storage and accessories delivered across 93 metropolitan and regional sites within a tight six-week window. With specific design requirements, complex installation needs and an election deadline approaching, the department required a supplier that could manage product supply, secure delivery and installation with minimal disruption.

Following a competitive open tender process, COS was selected to coordinate the end-to-end rollout. The project included furniture packs for 58 sites requiring installation, along with a further 35 regional locations where products needed to be securely packaged and delivered to a strict schedule.

The department needed a partner that could work quickly, communicate clearly and manage a highly contested, multi-site rollout with confidence. COS worked closely with departmental stakeholders to create a detailed delivery and installation program that aligned with operational priorities and reduced disruption in active government work environments.

For regional sites, products were securely packed and delivered through a structured program designed to keep the rollout on track. Throughout the project, COS maintained regular communication with the customer, providing progress updates and managing last-minute changes as they arose.

Every product was delivered and, where required, installed on time and on budget. The successful rollout demonstrated COS’s ability to manage complex, time-sensitive government furniture projects while delivering reliable scheduling, clear communication and strong value for money.

The department was so pleased with the outcome that COS was awarded a second contract for an additional 77 kits across a further 41 sites, reinforcing its confidence in COS as a trusted partner for large-scale, time-sensitive workplace furniture requirements.
