St Finbar’s Primary School Classroom Fit-Out

Want to know what we can do for your business space?

With Term 4 approaching, St Finbar’s Primary School needed to refresh furniture across multiple spaces on a tight timeline and fixed budget. Staff also needed clarity on what to purchase and how to set up each room for everyday classroom use.

The project began when a COS Furniture Sales Specialist dropped off catalogues during a visit to her former primary school. After learning the school urgently needed new furniture but wasn’t sure where to start, COS completed an on-site consultation to recommend age-appropriate options and practical room-by-room layouts.

What started as a small request expanded into a fit-out of more than 190 items across Kindergarten and Years 5 and 6 classrooms, teacher and parent areas, and the school’s sick bay. Key challenges included selecting the right products for each age group, finalising layouts, meeting a narrow installation window, and removing and disposing of existing furniture before students returned.

Working closely with the school, COS coordinated product selection, layout planning, delivery scheduling, installation and waste removal, supported by the Solutions Support and Category teams. A trusted third-party installation partner was engaged to ensure rooms were completed on time and within budget.

Furniture supplied included student chairs, writeable-surface adjustable desks and soft seating for the sick bay.

From planning to installation, the fit-out was completed within a few weeks, with old furniture removed and classrooms ready for Term 4. The upgraded spaces created vibrant, functional learning environments tailored to each year level, and staff praised the quality of the furniture and COS’s end-to-end project management, prompting ongoing purchases to further enhance learning areas.
